The CCH accreditation framework
The Tenant Services Authority (TSA) has funded the CCH to develop an accreditation programme for housing co-ops and their service providers. The purpose of the CCH Accreditation programme is to strengthen standards in housing co-ops and ensure excellence in service provision, particularly in relation to meeting the TSA's new regulatory standards.
Accreditation framework for service providers to housing co-ops
If you are a service provider to housing co-ops your organisation will want to become accredited...
- to enhance your business in provision of services;
- to ensure the quality of services provided to housing co-ops;
- to give comfort to housing co-ops that organisations that are accredited to provide services are effective and have a full knowledge and experience of how to work with housing co-ops, particularly in relation to meeting TSA standards;
- because it will be a marketing tool for you. The CCH will advertise on our website what service providers have been accredited, and accredited service providers will be able to include a CCH accreditation logo on their publicity. As the accreditation system develops, the CCH will actively advise housing co-ops that they should consider whether their needs could be better met through buying services from service providers who have been accredited.

Accreditation framework for housing co-ops
We have also produced an accreditation framework for housing co-ops and we would encourage co-ops to register, especially those that are registered with the TSA.

A feature of this year's CCH conference, to be held at the University of Birmingham between 16th and 18th July, will be to look at the accreditation programme, with a number of practical workshops to help co-ops address particular parts of the accreditation process.Peter Marsh, the TSA's Chief Executive, will be the main keynote speaker at the conference. As well as being the normal opportunity for networking between co-op members, this year's conference will also consider the current growth in interest in co-operative housing and the CCH's "Greener Living" programme.
